2011 NBA Draft

Kyrie Irving The Cleveland Cavaliers picked Duke Freshman point guard Kyrie Irving with the first overall selection in the 2011 NBA Draft.

Regardless of the rampant speculation leading up to the draft that they may go with Arizona’s Derrick Williams, by all accounts Irving was the clear choice here.

Irving is a 6-2, 180-pound speedy floor general who displays tremendous passing ability and leadership qualities, however he only suited up in 11 total games during the 2010-11 collegiate season.
