As if canceling Summer League wasn’t enough, NBA plans website content restrictions

Say it ain’t so NBA?

As if canceling the ever-popular Summer League this year wasn’t enough, now the NBA plans to restrict certain content on NBA-owned league and team websites if a lockout is truly imposed come July 1.

What content you ask?

Well, unfortunately the good kind.

All those wonderful images and videos of your favorite NBA players on NBA-owned team websites that you and I have become so accustomed to addictively perusing in our spare time.

According to ESPN.com’s Kevin Arnovitz once the lockout goes into effect at 12 midnight July 1st any images and subsequent video of NBA players will need to be removed from “NBA-owned digital properties”.

For more from True Hoop’s Arnovitz timely article on the subject read here.

However the NBA doesn’t own this site, so feel free to come back anytime you like.

As a way of saying thanks for coming, here is a nice little bit of video from the stellar NBA season that was.

Enjoy and please do come back.
