Kemba Walker first rookie this season to post triple-double

Hello World!

Kemba Walker notched an impressive 20-point, 10-rebound, 11-assist effort Saturday night in a close 102-99 Bobcats’ loss to the visiting Washington Wizards.  It was the first such triple-double effort by an NBA rookie this season, and obviously, the first of young Kemba’s short career.

With starting point man D.J. Augustin out indefinitely with what has been deemed as big toe inflammation, Walker has taken the reins at point and done so confidently albeit in just his 17th NBA regular season game.

Walker added two blocks and a steal to his impressive line in 43 minutes of court time on the night.

Since Augustin went down five games ago the former Connecticut Husky has put in 16.0 points, 4.6 assists, 7.0 rebounds to go along with a steal and a block in 36.0 minutes of action per game.

No official time table has been set for Augustine’s return, so expect even bigger things in the near future from Kemba as he continues to get his proverbial feet wet in an NBA uniform.
